We offer emergency food or financial support to:
~ Howard County MD residents with legitimate needs ~
FISH may* be able to help when county residents are at risk of utility cut off or of eviction, can't afford food or medicine, or when other unexpected crises arise.
FISH aids families, single parents, senior citizens, working individuals, persons with physical/mental disabilities, etc. -- a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
How is FISH Different from Other Aid Groups?
We provide emergency services on a Quick Response, Short-Term basis (QRST) when other aid is not available, or not accessible in time to avoid a crisis. FISH services are intended to complement, rather than replace or duplicate services offered elsewhere. For longer-term aid, our volunteers refer clients to county agencies and other community services.
ALL REQUESTS FOR AID MUST BE MADE VIA THE FISH HELPLINE. See Contact FISH page for phone number & instructions, follow carefully.
* FISH financial aid is LIMITED TO DONATIONS WE RECEIVE.
